The von Meyenn Group aims to gain insights into the complex relationship between nutrition, metabolism and the epigenome. We develop and use single-cell and next-generation sequencing techniques as well as human and murine in vivo and in vitro studies and combine these with genome-wide computational and bioinformatic analysis. We are interested in both fundamental biological discovery and potential therapies for human metabolic diseases. We hope that our work will contribute to the development of novel strategies to counter obesity and metabolic diseases.
